The Tamron 17-70mm F2.8 APS-C is a standard zoom lens that’s ideal for not only still photography but also for video shooting. The 17-70mm F2.8 has minimal focus breathing, an undesirable phenomenon in which the angle of view changes depending on the focusing distance during videography. By counteracting focus breathing, the 17-70mm F2.8 empowers users’ expression of their creative intentions to the fullest degree. In addition, the quiet RXD AF drive motor and the VC image stabilization mechanism facilitate hand-held video shooting.

The lens includes Tamron’s VC (Vibration Compensation) to reduce camera shake. When shooting video, VC uses AI-based algorithms to optimize stabilization for different scenarios. It’s ideal for handheld video capture and slow shutter shots in low light.
