Nanlite Forza 500B II Overview

Nanlite upgrades the original Forza 500 with the Forza 500B II Bi-Color LED Monolight. It keeps the same powerful output and compact form while adding advanced control and power options. The adjustable color temperature ranges from 2700K to 6500K, and you can fine-tune the green-magenta shift by ±80. Dimming from 0 to 100% in 0.1% steps allows precise control for any video or photo shoot. Whether blending with ambient light, matching other fixtures, or creating dramatic effects, the Forza 500B II delivers.

The included 55° reflector boosts output, while Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless control make adjustments easy. DMX/RDM compatibility supports complex setups. Four fan modes provide cooling flexibility, from full speed to completely silent operation. The redesigned control unit runs on AC power or optional V-mount batteries for use anywhere.

Special Effects

The light offers 12 built-in customizable effects that can be saved as presets using the free NANLINK app.

Green-Magenta Adjustment

In shooting situations where you need to match other light sources or achieve a specific look, it can be extremely helpful to adjust the green-to-magenta shift for color correction. The Forza 500B II allows you to tweak the color by +/- 80 to get there. This ability is made possible by the light’s LED source.

Four Fan Modes

Four fan modes enhance speed control according to your needs. The fan can also be turned off completely when absolute silence is needed.

Control Unit & Battery Power

The control unit features side battery plates for 26V or 14.8V V-mount batteries. You can operate at full brightness on AC power or with two 26V batteries. A lock button prevents accidental setting changes, and the fanless control unit offers quiet performance. The kit includes a 19.8′ power cable, a 9.8′ head cable, and a quick-release clamp compatible with round or square stands.

Onboard, DMX & App Control

Control the light locally through the OLED display and onboard buttons or remotely via Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz remotes, or DMX/RDM systems. The locking DMX/RDM ports integrate easily into professional setups.

Multiple Mounting Possibilities

The light has a curved rotating yoke with a one-sided lock and forward articulation. It allows 360° rotation to provide a greater tilting range with optional large modifiers. It also features an incorporated umbrella holder to expand your light-shaping options. Additionally, the light’s Bowens mount capability makes the Forza 500B II compatible with a wide range of modifiers.
