Canon EF 135mm f2L USM Overview

The Canon EF 135mm f2L USM is a medium telephoto prime lens, perfect for portrait photography. Its long focal length and wide f/2 aperture give excellent depth of field control, allowing you to isolate subjects and use selective focus. Moreover, the bright aperture improves handheld shooting in low-light conditions.

Canon designed the optics with two ultra-low dispersion elements that reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing. In addition, a Super Spectra coating enhances contrast and color accuracy by suppressing flare and ghosting.

For fast performance, the lens features a ring-type USM and a rear focusing system. Together, they deliver quick, quiet, and precise autofocus, while full-time manual focus override ensures flexibility. Furthermore, the rounded eight-blade diaphragm creates smooth and pleasing bokeh.

As part of the L-series, the lens is resistant to dust and moisture, making it reliable in harsh environments. Finally, it is compatible with optional EF 1.4X and EF 2X teleconverters, which extend its reach without sacrificing quality.
