The DJI RS 3 Combo includes the redesigned RS 3 gimbal stabilizer, which is lighter and sleeker than the Ronin RSC 2 at only 2.8 lb, supporting a payload of up to 6.6 lb. It can stabilize cameras like the Sony a7S III or Canon R5 with a 24-70mm lens. The gimbal features a large full-color OLED display, a fine-tuning knob, and enhanced stability. The Combo kit also includes a Focus motor, motor rod mount kit with gear strip, briefcase handle, multi-camera control cables, and lens-fastening strap.
Quick Release Plates
Dual-layered quick release plates make camera mounting fast and convenient. You don’t need to rebalance the gimbal after swapping batteries or memory cards.

Automated Axis Locks
Press and hold the power button to unlock the three axes and expand the gimbal automatically, starting work in two seconds. Press once to lock axes and enter sleep mode, simplifying storage and transport.
Wireless Shutter Control
Dual-Mode Bluetooth allows wireless shutter control. After pairing, press the record button on the stabilizer to shoot video or photos. Previously paired cameras reconnect automatically, removing the need for a control cable.
Integrated Controls
- A new fine-tuning knob adjusts camera position with millimeter precision for easier balancing. The gimbal mode switch allows switching between Pan Follow, Pan & Tilt Follow, and FPV modes. FPV is customizable to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom. The front dial controls zoom, focus, or can be assigned to shutter, aperture, ISO, or gimbal movement for single-handed operation.
Third-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm
The next-gen algorithm provides 20% better stability than RSC 2, handling low-angle shots, running scenarios, and position changes with ease.
Get SuperSmooth Results
When SuperSmooth mode is enabled, RS 3 increases motor torque to further enhance stabilization, delivering stable footage even in fast-moving scenarios or with 100mm-equivalent focal lenses.
1.8″ OLED Touchscreen
Compared with the black-and-white screen of RSC 2, RS 3 is equipped with a 1.8″ OLED full-color touchscreen with an 80% larger display. It also supports most Ronin app settings, providing intuitive and precise control and a redesigned user interface.
Monitoring on Smartphone
RS 3 supports the Ronin Image Transmitter, streaming 1080p30 HD live feed to a mobile device. Max distance is 656 feet, with latency as low as 60 ms. Attach a smartphone to the NATO port for wireless monitoring.
Integrated Monitoring and Control
Adjust camera exposure via the Ronin app or control the gimbal with a virtual joystick. Use a smartphone as a motion controller for dynamic camera movements.
Enhanced Battery and Fast Charging
The RS 3 battery grip uses a cartridge design for easy swapping. It offers up to 12 hours runtime and supports 18W PD fast charging in 2.5 hours. You can use the gimbal while charging for continuous power.
Intelligent Functions
The camera retains all the intelligent motion functions such as Dolly Zoom, Motionlapse, Track, Time Tunnel, and Panorama.
New Briefcase Handle
The foldable briefcase handle allows quick installation. It has a cold shoe mount and 1/4″-20 holes for external monitors, simplifying low-angle shots.

The 2022 DJI RS Focus Motor delivers triple torque (up to 1 N·m) with 50% less noise. The quick-release design allows tool-free assembly for faster setup.
