ZEISS Optical Design
- This lens uses the ZEISS Tessar concept with 16 elements in 12 groups for sharp and clear images. One extra-low dispersion element reduces chromatic aberrations, while four aspherical elements minimize distortion and curvature. An advanced aspherical (AA) element further enhances edge-to-edge clarity. The rounded seven-blade diaphragm creates smooth, pleasing bokeh. Additionally, ZEISS T* coatings cut reflections, improving contrast and color fidelity.
Image Stabilization and Autofocus
- Optical SteadyShot stabilization helps reduce camera shake, delivering sharper handheld images, especially at slower shutter speeds. You can also combine OSS with select camera sensor-shift stabilization for even better results. A linear autofocus motor ensures fast, accurate, and silent focusing—perfect for both stills and video.
