20.1MP Full-Frame Sensor and DIGIC X Image Processor

This camera uses a 20.1MP full-frame CMOS sensor with the advanced DIGIC X image processor. Together, they ensure fast operation, low noise, and superb image quality. Photographers can shoot at 16 fps with the viewfinder or 20 fps in live view, supported by a 1000-shot buffer when recording RAW+JPEG. The wide ISO range of 100–102400 (expandable to 819200) makes it reliable in any lighting condition.

EOS iTR AF X Autofocus and Dual Pixel CMOS AF

The EOS iTR AF X autofocus system uses 191 AF points, including 155 cross-type points, for speed and accuracy. Deep Learning Technology powers Face Tracking and Head Detection AF, ensuring sharp focus on moving subjects. In live view, Dual Pixel CMOS AF provides 3869 selectable points with natural, camcorder-like focusing. This makes it excellent for both stills and video.

DCI 4K and 5.5K Raw Video

The 1D X Mark III records DCI 4K video at up to 60 fps (10-bit 4:2:2) and 5.5K RAW at 60 fps. It also supports Full HD at 120 fps for slow motion. Features like Canon Log Gamma, Digital IS, and Focus Guide enhance video quality and post-production flexibility.

For physical, wired connectivity, there are integrated USB Type-C, mini HDMI, headphone, microphone, N3 remote, and Ethernet ports. Compatible with optional WFT-E9A Wireless File Transmitter for faster file transferring over wireless LANs.
