Second-Generation Quick Release Plate Design

The RS 4 Pro features dual-layered quick release plates, like its predecessor, for easy mounting and balancing. However, the redesigned horizontal plate now supports faster transitions to native vertical shooting. A fine-tuning knob lets you adjust the tilt axis by moving the camera forward or backward. Placement guides on the upper plate ensure secure mounting.

Second-Generation Automated Axis Locks

Press and hold the power button to unlock the three axes and automatically expand the gimbal within seconds. A single tap puts the gimbal into sleep mode and locks the axes. This new version also reduces gap spacing when locked, minimizing shake during transport.

RSA Communication Port

The RSA port allows you to connect Ronin series and third-party accessories with control features. You can easily switch between shooting configurations. Thanks to the DJI RS SDK protocol, third-party developers can create custom functions for the RS 4.

Wireless Shutter Control

Thanks to Dual-Mode Bluetooth, you can pair your camera wirelessly and control shooting directly from the stabilizer. After the first pairing, the RS 4 Pro reconnects automatically, eliminating the need for physical cables.

Updated ActiveTrack Pro

The new ActiveTrack Pro offers faster, more accurate subject tracking. It directly reads images from the Focus Pro LiDAR Autofocus—no need for the Ronin Image Transmitter. While tracking, you can monitor and frame your subject on the RS 4 Pro’s OLED screen. The optional LiDAR unit projects up to 76,800 ranging points within a 20-meter range.

Integrated Controls

Switch between Pan Follow, Pan and Tilt Follow, and FPV modes using the new gimbal mode switch. You can also customize FPV to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom modes for flexibility.
Additional features include Motion-Lapse, Track, and Panorama.
The trigger button can also activate FPV mode, allowing all three axes to follow the grip’s direction.

Car Mount Mode

The new car mount mode optimizes stabilization specifically to accommodate vehicle vibrations and wind resistance for steady capture.

Fourth-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm

The RS 4 Pro features an upgraded stabilization algorithm for smoother performance than the RS 3. It handles vertical shooting, fast movement, and low-angle shots with ease. Motor torque has been boosted by 20% across all axes for greater strength.

Auto-Locking OLED Screen

The fixed OLED touchscreen now includes an auto-lock feature. When locked, it shows gimbal and joystick status at low brightness to save power and prevent accidental changes.

Integrated Monitoring and Control

Using the Ronin app, you can adjust exposure or control the gimbal with a virtual joystick. Add the Ronin Image Transmitter, and your smartphone becomes a motion controller—enabling remote operation and dynamic camera movement.

Enhanced Battery and Fast Charging

The RS 4 Pro uses a new cartridge-style battery grip, making battery swaps quick and easy. The grip supports up to 13 hours of runtime and 18W PD fast charging, reaching full charge in just 1.5 hours. You can even power the gimbal while charging for continuous use.
