Zhiyun WEEBILL-S Overview

The Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL-S builds on the underslung mode design of its predecessor, the WEEBILL LAB. It features a more compact form and introduces new upgrades. The sling mode includes a rear handle, allowing quick switching to underslung mode and better overall handling. Zhiyun also upgraded the motors and stabilization algorithm. With 300% more motor torque and 50% more responsiveness, the gimbal balances heavier camera setups like the Canon 5D Mark IV with a 24-70mm zoom lens more effectively.

Zhiyun introduced the TransMount Image Transmission Module alongside the WEEBILL-S. This compact device mounts neatly under the gimbal’s quick-release plate and enables wireless video streaming up to 1080p30 over distances of up to 328 feet. You can sync up to three devices—phones, tablets, or professional monitors—via compatible receivers.

Enhanced Control & Creative Features with the Upgraded ZY Play App

The ZY Play app, available on iOS and Android, now integrates with the Image Transmission Module to offer smoother control of the gimbal. The SmartFollow 2.0 feature allows precise object tracking directly from the app. Sync Motion provides real-time monitoring and mirrored motion control.

The upgraded ViaTouch 2.0 interface lets you adjust zoom, focus (where supported), follow speed, ISO, aperture, and more—right from your smartphone. Additional creative tools in the app include Panorama, Timelapse, Motionlapse, and Long Exposure Timelapse.

Versatile Shooting Modes & Intelligent Performance with WEEBILL-S

The WEEBILL-S supports six distinct shooting modes. These include:

• Full-Range POV Mode for 360° synchronized movement across all axes

• Vortex Mode for creative 360° barrel shots

• Go Mode for fast-paced action scenes

• PF Mode to follow panning motions—ideal for hyperlapse

• F Mode for full follow of handle movement

• L Mode to mimic dolly or jib-style tracking while maintaining subject focus

The Intelligent Auto-Tune system detects your camera’s weight and auto-adjusts motor strength to optimize power efficiency. Battery life now extends up to 14 hours, ensuring full-day shooting.

Comprehensive Control

The WEEBILL-S supports electronic focus control through its integrated handwheel with compatible cameras. It also works with mechanical focus and zoom when using optional TransMount motors. You can use it with all previous TransMount accessories, including the widely-used Quick Setup Adapter Set.

Accessory Support with WEEBILL-S

The WEEBILL-S comes with multiple accessories, including an Arca Swiss/Manfrotto dual-layer quick release plate and a storage case. Also included is a mini tripod that can be used as a stand or an extension handle. The mini tripod is also what completes the gimbal for underslung, low-mode operation. It attaches to the rear handle to function as an overhead handle.
