RODE NT1 5th Generation Condenser
An NT1 with XLR and USB for Recording, Podcasting, and Streaming
The black RODE NT1 5th Generation takes this legendary microphone line to the next level. It features both an analog XLR connector and a digital USB-C connector, giving you complete flexibility. You can connect it directly to your computer for recording, podcasting, or streaming with its onboard 32-bit floating-point converter. If you prefer using an audio interface, podcasting station, or your favorite preamp, simply connect via XLR.
This mic combines a true condenser capsule, ultra-low-noise circuitry, and a durable housing. As a result, it delivers high-resolution digital recordings of vocals and instruments at home, in the studio, or even onstage.
Internally Shockmounted HF6 Cardioid Condenser Capsule

Behind its protective mesh grille, the NT1 5th Gen houses RODE’s 1-inch gold-sputtered HF6 capsule. This capsule provides detailed mids, smooth highs, and warm bass. Its cardioid polar pattern focuses on the source in front of the mic while reducing unwanted ambient sound from the sides and rear.
The capsule is suspended using Rycote’s Lyre system, which minimizes vibrations. RODE designed the electronics to keep noise extremely low, making the NT1 one of the quietest microphones available at just 4 dBA of self-noise. You can power it through phantom power on XLR or by bus power via USB-C.
Revolution Preamp and 32-Bit Floating Point Converters

RODE equips the NT1 5th Gen with a built-in Revolution preamp that delivers clean, ultra-low-noise gain. Its 32-bit floating-point A/D converter prevents clipping and distortion, even at extreme levels. Therefore, you no longer need to worry about perfect gain settings. You can focus on creativity instead.
It also supports sampling rates up to 192 kHz, ensuring professional-quality sound in every recording.
Bundled Accessories

The NT1 5th Generation includes the SM6 studio-grade suspension shockmount. This accessory isolates the microphone from rumble and vibrations. The SM6 also features a removable pop shield with two axes of adjustment and a telescopic arm, making it highly versatile.
In addition, RODE provides a balanced XLR microphone cable, a USB-C to USB-C cable, and a protective dust cover. A carrying pouch is also included.
