Sony A6600 with 18-135mm Zoom Lens Overview

Sony a6600 Mirrorless Camera

Power in Your Hands
The Sony a6600 with 18-135mm is a sleek, full-featured APS-C mirrorless camera built for both photos and video. It features a 24.2MP CMOS sensor, fast BIONZ X processor, in-body image stabilization, and unlimited 4K recording. This compact design delivers reliable performance in challenging lighting.

24.2MP Exmor CMOS Sensor and BIONZ X Processor
The APS-C 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor produces detailed images with low noise and wide sensitivity (ISO 100–32000, expandable to 102400). A thin copper wiring design and enhanced front-end LSI improve light gathering, reduce noise, and speed up readout for video. Paired with the BIONZ X processor, the system enables 11 fps continuous shooting with AF/AE tracking. It also supports 14-bit RAW output for wide tonal range.
UHD 4K Video Recording in XAVC S Format
  • The a6600 records UHD 4K up to 30p with full pixel readout and 6K oversampling, giving detailed footage with reduced moiré. It also supports Full HD 120p for slow motion. Recording has no time limit, ideal for long takes or live events. Users get advanced color control with S-Log2, S-Log3, and HLG for HDR content. Slow & Quick (S&Q) mode captures Full HD between 1–120 fps, while interval shooting creates time-lapse sequences. Clean 4K 4:2:2 output is available via HDMI.

Autofocus and Image Stabilization
Fast Hybrid AF System
  • The 4D FOCUS system covers nearly the entire frame with 425 phase-detection and 425 contrast points. Autofocus locks in as fast as 0.02 sec. Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF ensure accurate focus on people and animals, even while moving. Touch Focus and Touchpad control allow smooth operation directly from the rear screen.
5-Axis SteadyShot INSIDE Image Stabilization
The a6600 includes 5-axis in-body stabilization, effective up to 5 stops. It compensates for pitch, yaw, roll, and shift, ensuring sharp results for stills and video with any lens. Macro, telephoto, and handheld shooting all benefit from this system.
Body Design and Connectivity

  • The XGA Tru-Finder OLED viewfinder offers 2.36m-dot resolution and a 120 fps refresh rate for smooth tracking. A 3.0″ 921k-dot LCD tilts up 180° and down 74° for flexible shooting angles. The magnesium-alloy body is robust, weather-sealed, and features an ergonomic grip. Dual mic/headphone ports give control over audio. The NP-FZ100 battery powers up to 810 shots per charge, and USB charging is also supported. Built-in Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth simplify sharing, remote control, and geotagging.

Sony E 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens

Lightweight and Stabilized Versatility
Spanning a useful wide-angle to medium telephoto range, the E 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS from Sony is a versatile 27-202.5mm equivalent zoom for APS-C-format E-mount mirrorless cameras. This well-rounded lens suits working in a variety of situations, making it an ideal zoom for travel applications, and the image stabilization helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake for sharper imagery when shooting handheld.
Optical Design
  • Two extra-low dispersion elements help to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to produce greater clarity and color accuracy.
  • One aspherical element helps to control distortion and reduce spherical aberrations for greater sharpness and accurate rendering.
  • Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality when employing selective focus techniques.
Image Stabilization and Autofocus
  • Optical SteadyShot image stabilization helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake for sharper imagery when shooting handheld with slower shutter speeds. This stabilization system can also be combined with select camera’s sensor-shift type image stabilization for more effective control of camera blur.
  • Linear autofocus motor provides quick and precise autofocus performance and enables accurate and silent focusing while recording videos.
  • Dedicated AF/MF switch allows for quick changing between focusing methods.
  • Minimum focusing distance of 1.5′, along with a maximum magnification of 0.29x, suits working with close-up subjects.
