DJI Ronin-S Overview
The DJI Ronin-S is more than a compact version of the larger Ronin gimbal stabilizers. It represents a scalable ecosystem designed to integrate DSLR and mirrorless cameras into professional workflows. With its single-handed design, the Ronin-S supports payloads up to eight pounds, making it ideal for lighter camera setups. For the latest list of supported cameras and lenses, visit the DJI website.
Control is precise and intuitive. The front trigger lets you lock the gimbal when held, re-center it with two taps, or instantly activate Selfie mode with three taps. The rear mode button allows you to switch between three customizable profiles, each with adjustable speed and response for different shooting needs. Moreover, Sport mode boosts responsiveness and enables fast movements, handling dynamic shots at speeds up to 45 mph. With this flexibility, the Ronin-S adapts easily to documentary, event, and feature film productions. Its battery grip also delivers up to 12 hours of continuous operation.
Everything you need to start shooting comes included. The sliding camera plate works with the supplied lens support and riser, ensuring secure mounting and proper balance for your DSLR or mirrorless camera. USB Type-C and Type-B cables enable camera control functions such as start/stop and focus pulling, depending on compatibility. A 24W charger provides quick recharging, while the included carrying case protects your gear during storage and travel.
