Z-Axis Indicator
The Z-axis indicator displays your vertical movements so that you can adjust your motion, but it does not provide Z-axis stabilization.
Intelligent Tracking Module
- Attach the included module magnetically. Tap once for smart framing and tracking. It reaches up to 32.8 feet. Control it with gimbal commands or hand gestures. Choose orbit, POV/selfie, or backwards modes.
Auto-Locking OLED Screen
The RS 5 features a fixed OLED touchscreen with auto-lock. Once locked, it shows gimbal and joystick moves at low brightness. This prevents switches and saves battery.
Native Vertical Capture
Switch to portrait mode in seconds with the third-gen design. Loosen and press the single-side knob. Rotate the horizontal plate. Tighten it. Now shoot vertically.
Second-Generation Quick Release Plate Design
Balance cameras quickly with the dual-layered plates. The updated horizontal plate speeds vertical switches. Fine-tune the tilt axis forward or back. Guides on the upper plate secure your camera.
Monitoring and Control
Adjust exposure in the Ronin app. Or use the virtual joystick for gimbal control. With the Ronin Image Transmitter, turn your smartphone into a motion controller for dynamic shots.
Second-Generation Automated Axis Locks
Hold the power button when off. The three axes unlock, and the gimbal expands. Start in two seconds. Press once to lock and sleep. Smaller gaps cut shake for easy storage.
RSA Communication Port
Add Ronin or third-party accessories via the RSA port. Switch setups fast. Developers can create custom functions with the DJI RS SDK.
Wireless Shutter Control

Focus Pro and DJI SDR Transmission Support
